C45

C45 steel sheets comply with EN 10083-2 and are widely used for mechanical engineering applications. With a carbon content of approximately 0.45%, this steel grade provides an excellent balance of mechanical strength, machinability and heat treatment capability. It can be quenched and tempered or surface hardened to improve hardness and wear resistance. These characteristics make C45 a preferred material for manufacturing highly stressed mechanical components.

Sidastico supplies cut-to-size steel sheets in a wide range of thicknesses and dimensions. The company cuts every sheet according to customer specifications, reducing material waste and improving manufacturing efficiency. Sidastico also provides the EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate with every delivery, ensuring full traceability and compliance with the declared mechanical and chemical properties.

C45 steel sheets are suitable for laser cutting, plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting, bending, machining and welding when appropriate procedures are applied. Manufacturers use this grade for base plates, flanges, shafts, gears, supports, machine components and parts subjected to high mechanical loads. Its excellent mechanical properties ensure long service life and reliable performance.

Compared with conventional structural steels, this material provides higher mechanical strength and significantly improved performance after heat treatment. It is therefore an excellent solution for demanding mechanical applications requiring durability, precision and wear resistance.

Sidastico combines extensive stock availability with precision cut-to-size processing, certified quality and reliable deliveries. Customers benefit from steel sheets tailored to modern mechanical engineering requirements.
