HIGH QUALITY STEELS |
Siderurgica Astico uses steels
that conform to international standards, such as: UNI, AFNOR, B.S.,
DIN, and ASTM, tested by prestigious external bodies such as ISPESL,
F.F.S., R.I.Na, TUV, APAVE, TTK, and LLOYD'S REGISTER.
In order to meet the new market demands, Siderurgica Astico has
enlarged its
products range with the introduction of:
coils in low-alloy steel, indicated
for high resistance to temperature and abrasion;
coils in micro-alloy steel, particularly
resistant to corrosion;
coils in AISI series 300 stainless
steel.

SEVERE TESTS |
Siderurgica
Astico avails itself of the technical consultancy of RTM test
and inspection laboratory (SINAL certification no. 0025). This allows
to carry out severe tests of the materials from the mechanical (resistance,
hardness, yield point) and technological (chemical, micrographic and
macrographic) points of view.
Upon the customer's request, more sophisticated tests are also carried
out, such as:
corrosion strength
tests in saline mist and HIC;
volumetric gas investigation of the carbon percentage. |

STRUCTURE |

In
these latest years, Siderurgica Astico invested considerable
resources in the automation of its production process. Nowadays,
a sophisticated on-line system ensures the control of the entire
process, from the orders management to the programming of the production
cycle, right up to the shipment stage.
A barcode identifies the order and allows the marketing office (and
therefore the customer) to know the state of progress of the order
in real time.
Thanks to this system, the production cycle is constantly under
control: all the data are stored
in the company's central computer system so as to trace, order by
order, the main technical product specifications.
