HEAVY PLATES IN HIGH STRENGTH WEAR RESISTANT STEEL.

Another Sidastico strong point is represented by processing heavy plates in high strength wear resistant steel.

400 HB: WEAR RESISTANT ABRASION RESISTANT STEEL (HEAVY PLATES)

Description

Heavy plates are composed of a special type of wear resistant steel with a 400HBW hardness grade, which makes this a wear resistant steel that resists abrasion, friction and blows.

Because of these particularly strong features, the steel plates forged with this steel are also known as wear plates, in light of the fact that this wear resistant steel is ideal for heavy duty applications that require long duration, reduced weight, energy efficiency, high performance and excellent weldability.

The sheets are in tempered steel, trimmed along all four edges, sanded, primed and then tested by ultrasound (EN10160 S1E1).

Uses of wear resistant and abrasion resistant steel (heavy plates) – 400 HB

Molds, mold clamps, shafts, semi-axes, pistons, rods, wheels for vehicles, buckets, connection devices, levers, blades, etc.

S690QL1: HIGH STRENGTH STEEL – (HEAVY PLATES)

Description

The exceptional strength under stress and the tenacity of these high strength steel plates allow for use of thicknesses that are significantly less than those in standard steel sheets with the same results.
The use of high strength steel therefore translates into lighter weight, increased capacities, more efficient management and longer duration of products.
